AGS Special Books
These six short books were written by geographers for a general readership. The editor of the series, issued 1994 - 1998, was Dr. Hilary Lambert Hopper, who also served as the editor of FOCUS on Geography magazine until 2002. The sixty-page, full-color books are available in soft cover (at $13..95 each) or in library edition (at $18.95 each). Each is about a single country, describing its history, landscape, geography, politics, resources, culture, and prospects from a geographer's point of view.
